With the Martin Integrated Supply solution, employees now come to the nurses station to get a form, and they take that to one of several local optometrists. There they have their eyes checked, are fit tested, and the doctor’s office orders their glasses. Once they come in the employee goes back to the office, is fit tested again, and then has their new pair ready to go.
The program has significantly reduced the workload on Safety, while at the same time provided a reliable process for employees to get their glasses in. It also ensures that they will have glasses that fit their face properly, reducing eye injuries.
