Machine shop operators were doing daily checks on the parts, but the data was not being delivered cleanly to the Quality Control department.

Martin was brought in to analyze the problem. To increase accuracy and ease of use we suggested the use of a wireless data collection system. The system connects to the measurement tools and with the single click of a button, the data is transferred seamlessly to QC.

The new system eliminated measurement errors as well as decreased parts rejection down the line. Also, the price quoted by Martin was 1/3 the price of their other option, saving them $4,175 directly. With a reliable system in place, QC was able to quickly process the results coming in each day and move on to other issues, resulting in exponentially more indirect savings.
